Fermented 85% in large oak fermenter, 15% in stainless steel tanks. 15% of this blend went through extended maceration for 60 days (slightly less than the previous vintage) Barrel-Aging Process: 15% new Eastern European oak, 10% new French oak, and 75% neutral oak for 23 months. This wine was stirred on lees for a total of 8 months.

The Texas High Plains is the second largest designated grape-growing region in Texas, spanning 8 million acres, yet it is responsible for the majority of the wine grapes grown in the state. A rare set of growing conditions make this area unique. On a vast flat plain, the vineyards reach elevations of 3,000 to 5,000 feet, resulting in very balanced wines.
