Let our knowledgeable tasting room ambassadors guide you through an educational wine tasting as you enjoy views of the Texas Hill Country.
This is a standing tasting that lasts approximately 45 minutes, and we ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your reservation time, so we can greet you.

Our Wine Ambassadors lead you through a journey of tasting Texas’ terroir in the expression of wine. Highly educational, this journey of discovery sees you taste a variety of Texas wine. Some familiar varietals. Some not. You will leave with a greater appreciation for Texas grape farmers and winemakers.
Make Time for The Farmhouse
Before or after your experience, we invite you to visit The Farmhouse at Hye Estate, our on-property general store and gathering place. Browse William Chris merchandise, discover goods from local Texas makers, purchase bottles to take home, or pick up your online wine orders.
Open Wednesday–Sunday, the Farmhouse Bistro also offers seasonal sandwiches and bites prepared by our culinary team. Perfect for fueling your visit in the Hill Country.

Outside Food & Beverage Policy
To help us maintain the quality of your experience and comply with winery regulations, we kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing outside food or beverages onto the property.
We are family-friendly, and snacks for children are always welcome.
If you’re looking for something to enjoy during your visit, we recommend stopping by The Farmhouse, where you’ll find snacks, beverages, and seasonal offerings from the Farmhouse Bistro available Wednesday through Sunday.
Children & Pet Policy
We love welcoming guests of all kinds to the vineyard and ask that everyone help us maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for all visitors.
Children
Well-behaved children are welcome at the vineyard and must remain supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. For the safety of our guests and the preservation of the property, running, climbing, or disruptive behavior is not permitted. Any damage to property is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome outdoors on the property but are not permitted inside the tasting room unless they are designated service animals. When bringing your dog, please follow these guidelines:
Dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
Please clean up after your pet. Bags and receptacles are available.
Pet owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and should remain attentive.
Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations.
Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave.
Late Arrival Policy
- Guests are advised to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to their reservation and check in at the Waystation.
- If a guest arrives 15 minutes into service, they will begin at the second course of the wine and food pairing experience.
- Arrivals exceeding the 15-minute grace period may be redirected to an alternate experience available on the property or accommodated for glass and bottle service at “The Porch,” to the best of our ability.
Cancellations
We understand that unexpected conflicts arise. We kindly ask that if possible, you provide us with 24 hours notice if you are unable to make your scheduled reservation so that we may accommodate other guests. Call us at 830.998.7654 or email reservations@williamchriswines.com to cancel.
