Tasting Notes
The wine leads with the aromatic, light-hearted character of Grenache, complete with rose aromas. Cherry candy notes lift to reveal the more serious stone and herb aromas of Mourvèdre and Syrah. The palate has surprising grip, subtle cedar flavors, and a round, dry, medium body.

The Vineyard
AVA: Texas Hill Country
In 2017 Johnny Sanchez and father-in-law Doug Wilcox planted just under 12 acres of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Tannat a stones' throw from Hye in Stonewall, Texas. The close proximity to William Chris allows for our teams to work together to help the fruit showcase the best of this special site, home to the limestone layers that run through the old Pedernales River Basin.
Vintage Press Vineyard, Gillespie County, Texas Hill Country AVA. Age of Vines: 8 years. Soil Type: Clay loam over limestone. Elevation: 1,516 ft.
