2023 Sangiovese – Alta Loma Vineyard

Medium-bodied, dry, and boldly spicy, with firm tannins and great acidity. This wine is a well-balanced savory spice-bomb with a thick underlay of ripe red fruit. The wine's robust texture will hold it over time as it develops into a more earthy wine.

100% Sangiovese

Fermented in large oak fermenter for 13 days. Aged in 10% Eastern European oak barrels and 90% neutral oak barrels for 18 months.

Serve at 59°F | Decant for 15 minutes

AVA: Texas High Plains

Alta Loma Vineyard is a spectacular growing site in Terry County, owned and farmed by the Burran and Floyd families. Established in 2016 with fewer than 10 acres of Syrah and Sangiovese, they have since planted two more varieties that have proven sustainability in the region, including Mourvèdre. Their sandy loam soil is well-drained, suited to the hardy varieties they've selected to plant.
