The Vineyard
AVA: Texas High Plains
Both planted back in 2010 over the signature Amarillo sandy loam soil of Terry County, the Seaton and Ferguson families of Farmhouse Vineyards and Paddack and Timmons of La Pradera Vineyards are dedicated to planting varieties that thrive in the semi-arid, sunny conditions of the Texas High Plains. The high elevation of the High Plains provides balance to the structure of their grapes.
Harvest: Machine-harvested. Soil: Amarillo fine sandy loam, partially over limestone. Elevation: 3,300 ft.
