Tasting Notes
Luxurious red fruit aromas are supported by thick violet and garden aromas. The wine tastes as rich as it smells - a unique characteristic of Alta Loma Sangiovese. Notes of vanilla cream, cherry, and chocolate on the palate complement the full body, firm tannins, and long finish.
Winemaking
Fermented in stainless steel tank for 18 days. Extended maceration for 14 days. Aged in 10% new French and 10% E. European oak barrels, and 80% neutral barrels for 14 months.
Food Pairing
Pair with simple, rich dishes - a great cut of grilled meat, veal, or pappardelle with ragu.
