Tasting Notes
A delicately woven set of aromas that unfold gradually. The wine slowly gives scents of soft strawberry, black plum, cherry skin, dusty violet, grated cinnamon, and subtle char notes. The palate is gently fruity, with savory herbs and a taut acid and tannin structure.

The Vineyard
AVA: Texas High Plains
The Family Vineyard, like many of our favorite vineyards in Terry County, was planted along the Lost Draw. The "broken" valley is an important sustainable feature in this area, where quick temperature changes are common and can be destructive. The Shivers farm has beautiful fruit here in the iron-rich, well-drained sandy loam soils at over 3,000 ft elevation.
