Tasting Notes
A subtle spiciness to the nose. Medium to full-bodied, it shows nice mid-palate depth and richness, with dark berry fruit, violets, and saddle leather notes. Muscular tannins build toward a crisp, structured finish. (Review by Jonathan Cristaldi; rated 94 points by Cristaldi & Co., October 2025.)

The Vineyard
AVA: Texas High Plains
Established in 2010 by Mike and Barbara Paddack with the help of Texas grape-growers Andy and Lauren Timmons, who also currently manage the 120 acres. The 13 different grape varieties are planted on a special soil combination that is calcareous, organic, sandy loam over limestone that is just 2-3 feet deep in some blocks. The wines are aromatic and fresh in style.
La Pradera Vineyard, Texas High Plains (Terry County). Age of Vines: 14 years. Soil Type: Amarillo fine sandy loam over limestone base. Elevation: 3,300 feet.
