Tasting Notes

Citrusy passion fruit, with an overall tropical and red fruit aroma medley. Mandarin orange mingles with a limey mineral aroma. The palate feels chalky and nicely dry, but still gushing with a mouth-watering citrus and a red apple-raspberry punch-like flavor. Light-bodied.

The Vineyard

AVA: Texas High Plains

The vineyard was established in 2010 by Mike and Barbara Paddack with the help of practiced Texas grape-growers, Andy and Lauren Timmons, who also currently manage the 120 acres. The 13 different grape varieties are planted on the special calcareous soil combination, organic, sandy loam over limestone that is just 2-3 feet deep in some blocks. The wines are aromatic and fresh in style.

La Pradera Vineyard, Texas High Plains (Terry County). Age of Vines: 13 years. Soil Type: Amarillo fine sandy loam over limestone base. Elevation: 3,300 ft.
