Tasting Notes

Elegant, with tart red berries and a wave of spice notes that range from smoke to cedar. This wine shows the pretty side of Mourvèdre, with a silky texture on a medium body, subtle tannins, and a core of riper fruit on the palate. A dark minerality shines through it all.

Winemaking

Fermented in stainless steel and oak fermenters. Aged in neutral oak puncheons, then 15% new French oak barrels and 85% neutral oak barrels for 18 months.

Food Pairing

Pair with duck, mushroom risotto, and slightly aged Italian cheeses such as Pecorino Romano. Use herbs!
