Tasting Notes
Fragrant but delicate, with a thick aromatic gamut of pink rose, mock strawberries, red currant, milk thistle, and lavender. The palate is not shy, designed to develop over time in bottle, and with the structure to get it there. A generous texture shines through the tannins and carries more boisterous fruit than is noticed on the nose.

The Vineyard
AVA: Texas Hill Country
Established in 2015 in Mason County around his home, owner and vineyard manager William Blackmon planted what he loves - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. These "Bordeaux" varieties thrive on the slightly sloping, poor soils of Blackmon Ranch that also reflect sunlight onto the grapes to increase intensity.
Blackmon Ranch Vineyard, Texas Hill Country AVA. Age of Vines: 9 years. Soil Type: Poor, shallow soils; sandy loam over clay to sandstone. Elevation: 1,800 ft.
