Tasting Notes

Playful, with clean red strawberry and ripe raspberry balanced by black cherry pit and smoldering tobacco. Wild purple flowers and chalky sweet tart notes dance around the fruity core of the wine. On the palate, the wine has grip that will soften with decanting over time. A gravelly finish.

AVA: Texas Hill Country

Both of these vineyards lie in the Texas Hill Country AVA, the largest designated grape-growing region in Texas. The Hye Estate Vineyard lines the property where William Chris crafts and pours their wines, and 5 miles away in Stonewall, Texas, Doug Wilcox manages 12 acres.
