Tasting Notes
A lush, medium-bodied red wine of ripe character, perfect for someone taking their first sips of Texas wine. Layers of red fruit, black cherry, toasted oak and fresh herbs are deepened by the spice and luxury of just 15% Petit Verdot.
Winemaking
Fermented in a mix of large oak fermenter and stainless steel tank. Aged in 20% new French oak barrels and 80% neutral oak barrels for 20 months.
Food Pairing
Pair with game meat and anything off the grill. Also mild to medium cheddar.
The Vineyard
Sourced from The Family Vineyard and Dell Valley Vineyard, in Terry and Hudspeth Counties within the Texas High Plains AVA — a vast, flat plain reaching elevations of 3,000 to 4,000 feet that produces very balanced wines.
