Tasting Notes
Dry and medium-bodied with red fruit, fresh flowers, crushed stone, and zesty herbs. The palate is rounded by moderate structure, and base tones of earth and blackberry.
Winemaking
60% Mourvèdre, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
Each variety was fermented separately for an average of 12 days. Aged in 100% neutral oak barrels for 20 months.

AVA: Texas High Plains
Across from each other on Old Lamesa Road in Terry County are vineyards that are owned and operated by friends and family. This blend represents those people and how those vineyards influence each other's products. The Texas High Plains is the second largest designated grape-growing region in Texas, spanning 8 million acres, yet it is responsible for the majority of the wine grapes grown in the state. A rare set of growing conditions make this area unique. On a vast flat plain, the vineyards reach elevations of 3,000 to 4,000 feet, resulting in very balanced wines.
La Pradera Vineyard, Alta Loma Vineyard, Texas High Plains AVA, Terry County. Age of Vines: 7-13 years. Soil Type: Brown clay-ey loam and reddish fine sandy loam with some limestone. Elevation: 3,000-4,000 feet.
