Tasting Notes
Gravel and black currant open up the nose with mint and thistle. This wine shows depth in brambly fruitiness with plenty of herb and dried lavender notes to keep it whimsical. The palate has just enough richness to feel decadent. Dry and medium-bodied. Medium tannins.

The Vineyard
Vineyards: Moonlight Vineyard, La Pradera Vineyard, Timmons Estate Vineyard, Alta Loma Vineyard, The Family Vineyard
AVA: Texas High Plains
The Texas High Plains is the second-largest designated grape-growing region in Texas, spanning 8 million acres. Yet it is responsible for the majority of the wine grapes grown in the state. This area is unique because of a rare set of growing conditions. On a vast, flat plain, the vineyards reach elevations of 3,000 to 4,000 feet, resulting in very balanced wines.
Elevation: 3,280-3,600 ft. Soil: Mostly fine sandy loam over some caliche and limestone. Age of vines: 7-11 years.
