Tasting Notes
A dry wine. Mary Ruth's hallmark floral aromas followed by citrus peel. Bright acidity balanced by pomaceous, stone and tropical fruits. Light-bodied, yet textured.
Winemaking
Stainless steel fermentation (partial co-fermentation) for 30 days. The Sauvignon Blanc fermented in oak and underwent full malolactic conversion. Aged for 60+ days separately and 60 days in stainless steel after blending.

This wine sources grapes from within three of the eight defined Texas American Viticultural Areas, as well as from quality vineyards that fall outside of those areas. The Escondido Valley, Texas High Plains and Texas Davis Mountains AVAs in West Texas feature the highest elevation sites, while John Dale Vineyards and Fleming Farm Vineyards in the city of Sealy, Texas have conditions more suited to the favorite hybrid grape Blanc du Bois.
Multiple Texas vineyards across the Escondido Valley, Texas High Plains and Texas Davis Mountains AVAs, plus John Dale and Fleming Farm Vineyards in Austin County. Altitude: 700-5,100 ft. Soil Type: Varied - alluvial, calcareous, sandy loam, silt and clay.
