Tasting Notes
Lean cranberry notes on the nose, followed by red currant and stone notes. This wine is elegant and restrained, with a pretty perfume followed by a richer-than-expected weight on the palate. Dry, and almost full-bodied without elevated alcohol, and a super long finish.

The Vineyard
AVA: Texas High Plains
Owned by Barbara Paddack and Andy and Lauren Timmons, who also own the 18 acres of Timmons Estate Vineyard in the same County. The over 100 acres of vines at La Pradera are planted on a special soil combination: calcareous, organic, Amarillo sandy loam soil over limestone. Both sites are dedicated to grapes that can grow sustainably in the semi-arid conditions of the Texas High Plains.
Elevation: 3,300 ft. Soil: Amarillo fine sandy loam over limestone base. Age of vines: 11 years.
