Tasting Notes

Notes of wild red cherry, red delicious apple, espresso and chocolate. Rustic, with a pure fruit balance. There is a damp earth quality, with tobacco and menthol tones. The palate has a coating texture, with a refreshing backbone of cranberry and red currant. Nicely savory on the palate.

Winemaking

VARIETIES: 57% Malbec, 26% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon

2 day cold soak in separate lots. Fermented separately in large oak fermenters for an average of 12 days. Aged for 16 months in 24 % new French oak barrels and 76% neutral French oak barrels.
