Tasting Notes

Aromas of apple, spiced orange tea, wild cherry, and freesia. An exotic, fruity wine with impressive texture! Dry, with slight tannins and just enough of a tart kiss to remain refreshing when served lightly chilled. A fruit-and-spice wine; great for the heat of summer or the holiday table.

The Vineyard

AVA: Texas High PlainsVineyards: La Pradera Vineyard, Moonlight VineyardThe Texas High Plains is the second largest designated grape-growing region in Texas, spanning 8 million acres, yet it is responsible for the majority of the wine grapes grown in the state. A rare set of growing conditions make this area unique. On a vast, flat plain, the vineyards reach elevations of 3,000 to 4,500 feet, resulting in well-balanced wine.

Elevation: 3,300 ft. Soil: Amarillo fine sandy loam over limestone base. Age of vines: 7 to 11 years.
