Food Pairing

Marinated pork loin, mulled cranberries, and washed rind cheeses.

The Vineyard

Lahey Vineyards, Texas High Plains AVA. Lahey Vineyards is the largest grape-growing operation in the state of Texas, yet with all of the family owned vineyard care that you would hope for. The farm was established over 60 years ago, most recently adding grapes to their enormous plantings of peanuts and other crops. The success of their fruit all starts with the careful selection of Texas-hardy varieties they chose to farm.

Elevation: 3,200-3,300 ft. Soil: Amarillo fine sandy loam over clay base with calcareous sub-soil. Age of vines: 4-6 years.
