Texas Hill Country AVA

Hye Estate is home to 20 acres of tasting rooms, production facilities, an old farmhouse, and about 6.5 total acres of grapevines. Planted in 2012 and 2015, just under 2 acres of Tannat vines are rooted in nitrogen-rich soil previously under riverbed. That combined with a limestone base has made for a powerful grape with incredible aromatic potential. Because of it's success in humid conditions, Tannat will continue to be planted there.
