100% Cabernet Sauvignon

After harvest, grapes were fermented in a large oak fermenter. The wine was then aged for 24 months in 30% new French oak barrels before bottling.

Loyal Valley is a cool microclimate just 30 minutes west of Fredericksburg. The vineyard is a small one of 2.5 acres, is farmed by a man named John Brown, and is a great representation of Hickory Sands soils. It has little limestone and is all on decomposed granite over sandstone.
