Hye Estate is home to 20 acres of tasting rooms, production facilities, an old farmhouse, and about 6.5 total acres of grapevines. Planted in 2012 and 2015, just under 2 acres of Tannat vines are rooted in nitrogen-rich soil previously under the riverbed. That combined with a limestone base has made for a powerful grape with incredible aromatic potential. Because of its success in humid conditions, Tannat will continue to be planted there.
