The Vineyard
AVA: Texas High PlainsDustin Gilliam of Gilliam Gap Vineyards in Ropesville is as passionate about the vine as our Bill is. Which is saying something. The thin-skinned Malbec can be a finicky varietal; however, Dustin’s attention to detail and dedication to quality have proven to age well. This 2016 vintage, released in 2022, will be one of the older releases to come out of the winery in 2022. Nearly half of the 672 cases procured are spoken for, as this is an instant classic coming out of the winery. Bill and Chris have been singing praises for Gilliam Gap Vineyards for some time now. An excellent expression of Merlot, coming in at 13% alcohol. Those who are fans of the balanced wine movement, this is your wine.
