Tasting Notes

Shortly after opening up, a rush of sweet cherries, black tea, and rhubarb pie develops on the nose. The oak shows through the fruit up front, bringing a creaminess to the nose that shows through to the palate. On the palate there are hints of darker red fruit with some dusty purple mulberry, anise, and bright acidity. This wine has been bottle aged and will drop sediment. We recommend decanting and serving around 58 degrees F.

Winemaking

Aged 11 months and blended post-aging. The Merlot was barreled in 1st and 2nd year Eastern European oak, the Cabernet Sauvignon in 100% new French oak, and the Malbec 100% in 2nd year American oak.
