Rich and full-bodied, with a floral and honeycomb nose, and dry, mineral palate. The palate showcases well-integrated acidity and a broad and creamy texture.
Winemaking
Roussanne aged for 8 months in oak fermenters (4 months bâtonnage, full malolactic conversion). Marsanne aged in stainless steel tanks. Blended prior to bottling.
Food Pairing
Thai green curried soft shell crab, or butternut squash soup during the cooler months.
The Vineyard
AVA: Texas High Plains
Owned by Mike and Barbara Paddack and Andy and Lauren Timmons, who also own the 18 acres of Timmons Estate Vineyard in the same county. The over 100 acres of vines at La Pradera are planted on a special soil combination: calcareous, organic, Amarillo sandy loam soil over limestone. Both sites are dedicated to grapes that can grow sustainably in the semi-arid conditions of the Texas High Plains.
