Tasting Notes

Juicy red fruits like cherry, pomegranate and red plum come through on the nose, with an herbaceous edge. The palate is medium-bodied and refreshing, with delicate tannins and a dry finish. Lightly chilled or room temperature, this wine will range to fit any occassion.

The Vineyard

AVA: Texas high Plains

Moonlight Vineyard is less than 10 acres of grapes established in Brownfield by George and Peggy Seely (2014). Miss Peggy worked with Andy Timmons (a well established grower in the Texas High Plains) for years before getting the wild hair to plant their own couple of red and white varieties. The crop has been unexpectedly incredible since year one and is one of the few vineyards in Texas recognized as sustainable by the BioTech Research Institute.

Elevation: 3,200 ft. Soil: Amarillo fine sandy loam over limestone. Age of vines: 7 years.
