Tasting Notes

Aromas of fruit punch and cajeta, with the classic exotic Cinsault spice notes. The wine gets more perfumed as it opens up, giving way to smoke, strawberry, and hibiscus. Dry, friendly, and fruity on the palate - like a smoked strawberry and cream cocktail with a finely salted rim.

The Vineyard

AVA: Texas High Plains

Established in 2010 by Mike and Barbara Paddack with the help of Texas grape-growers Andy and Lauren Timmons, who also currently manage the 120 acres. The 13 different grape varieties are planted on a special soil combination that is calcareous, organic, sandy loam over limestone that is just 2-3 feet deep in some blocks. The wines are aromatic and fresh in style.

La Pradera Vineyard, Terry County. Age of Vines: 14 years. Soil Type: Amarillo fine sandy loam over limestone base. Elevation: 3,300 ft.
